Pots and food? - yes please

It's September already...wow...2022 is flying by and what a year we've had so far.

This week sees one of my favourite jobs completed - the Wardlow Mires Pottery and Food Festival adverts, banners and brochures - all sorted for this weekend.

It's fabulous, more than 70 of this country's finest functional pottery makers and quality, locally sourced and produced food all together in a marquee in the Peak District, just off the B6465 near Wardlow.

This year, the event is dedicated to festival founder and renowned ceramicist Geoff Fuller, who passed away earlier this year. Geoff, and his wife Pat, started the festival back in 2012 and from humble beginnings the popular event is now key on the pottery fan's calendar.

Pat has worked so hard to get this event to happen this year under difficult circumstances, but Pat, it will all be worth it, especially when we can sit on a hay bale and sip a few drinks!

The festival runs from:

10am-5pm on Saturday 10th September 2022.

10am-4pm on Sunday 11th September 2022

Last entry is one hour before closing time.

Tickets will cost £6 each on the gate.

There's FREE onsite parking, FREE entry for children under 16 and check out the souvenir catalogue with all the exhibitors included...

If you've not been, go. If you've been before, go again. I look forward to seeing you there.
